Danielle and Will’s Romantic Spring Wedding
This happy couple celebrated in style with a weekend of celebration at Manor Mews. The sun shone, the music played and love was in the air!
The Venue
Danielle and Will were searching for their dream wedding venue in Norfolk – somewhere full of character and where their guests could spend the night. Manor Mews ticked every box!
“The barn was beautiful and somewhere we could add our own details with flowers and decorations. The accommodation is also amazing and we had 50 guests to stay for the whole weekend.” DANIELLE
The Décor
The happy couple set an April date and put their focus on creating a day that was relaxed, sociable and fun. With a colour scheme of blush pink, grey and ivory, fabulous flowers adorned the venue alongside large rustic ‘LOVE’ letters, ivory drapes and chair covers with blush pink bows.
“Our florist created beautiful centrepieces and also put tea lights and vases in the alcoves in the barn. As Will is a tennis coach, our seating plan was laid out as a tennis tournament draw and, with a wedding over the Easter weekend, our wedding favours were little jars of mini eggs.” DANIELLE
The Flowers
Blush pink, dusky pink and ivory were the delicate colours carried through the flowers. Posies of seasonal flowers were hand-tied with ivory ribbon while Danielle’s bouquet was in a teardrop shape.
Stunning arrangements for the church ceremony were carried back to Manor Mews, including two lovely pedestals at the entrance.
“Alicia at Lily Jane Florists really understood our wedding and what we wanted. The flowers were beautiful and matched perfectly.” – DANIELLE
The Look
The bride chose an elegant gown from Essence of Australia at Ivory Room Bridal, a classic style but with contemporary details such as a champagne-coloured underlay.
“I knew I wanted a slim-fitting dress and this designer really suited my body shape. The cathedral train was my favourite part as it was edged in lace and made the dress look amazing from behind.” DANIELLE
She completed the look with ivory shoes from Rainbow Club, earrings from Will and a silver bracelet from her bridesmaids.
Meanwhile, Will looked the part in a blue, slim-fit suit from Moss Bros.
“He had it tailor made so that he could add some personal touches like blush pink thread on the button hole, a bespoke lining to the jacket and waistcoat and a monogram on the jacket lining.” DANIELLE
Finally, Danielle’s bridesmaids were stunning in blush pink dresses from Ted Baker.
“The style was flattering and suited different body shapes. They were high-necked with a floral embellishment and flowing fabric – great for swirling around!” DANIELLE
The Food
Following their romantic ceremony at St Mary’s Church in East Rudham, drinks and canapés were served in the garden at Manor Mews.
Moving in to dine, the wedding breakfast commenced with blue cheese truffles and Waldorf salad, moving on to braised brisket of Sandringham beef and, for pudding, glazed lemon tart with raspberry sorbet.
“All the food was amazing – beautifully presented and absolutely delicious.” DANIELLE
The Evening
As day turned to evening, the newlyweds danced their first dance to ‘Stay With Me’ by John Legend and a live band called Crossfire got everyone up and dancing.
“We had seen these guys play at a few events and they were brilliant each time. They play a range of rock, indie and pop music.” DANIELLE
Pulled pork baps with chip cones proved the perfect choice for evening dining and a sparkler finale was a wonderful end to a magical day.
The Highlights
“There were so many lovely moments but walking back down the aisle once married and seeing all our friends and family was really special.”
Advice from the Happy Couple
